For the first of four search strategies I will practice using, I decided to do a building block search. The database I will do this search in is LibraryLit. The search I will conduct will be on "youth programs in public libraries". For the search i divided my topic into 3 facet sets: (youth or adolescent) and (program or event) and (library). The search found 346 results. I decided to try to narrow it a little bit more and changed my first set to (adolescent or teen). I was really surprised when that one word narrowed the results to 143. Using this search strategy was really easy to use after I understood how to build and use the facets for a search. I found some really interesting articles including:
